What exactly is the unofficial holiday of Black Friday? Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving Day in the United States. This day marks the first day of the Christmas shopping season. Almost all vendors drastically lower their product prices on this remarkable day. Not only is Black Friday competitive for stores, but it takes a toll on the shoppers, who all rush to stores early morning for some inexpensive shopping.

Black Friday is traditionally the busiest retail shopping day of the year as well as the busiest in traffic at malls and shopping centers all over the world. Last year at Best Buy, shoppers were lined up many hours before stores were even open. When the doors opened, shoppers flooded in and grabbed as many items as they could, as many stores have a few big name items for huge discounts.
Of all products, electronics are often the most popualar items for sale on Black Friday. Video games and children toys are also very sought-after.
Black Friday used to be a tradition to purchase inexpensive gifts on Bargain for others, but has recently become a day of profit. Shoppers purchase the discounted items in order to resell online often on sites such as craigslist or ebay.
Black Friday 2010 will mark another event in this tradition. Lots of ads have been released already and many shoppers have already planned their lists for Black Friday.
